Evan Kovacs started his filming career in 2003 on the History Channel's
underwater adventure series, Deep Sea Detectives. In addition to
‘DSD’ he has had an ongoing filming relationship with the Emmy award
winning Lonewolf Documentary Group, and recently Woods Hole Oceanographic.
Prior to working for Lone Wolf and his entry into full time television production, Evan worked for 10 years in the New York City theatre and events field as a lighting designer, production manager, and occasional actor. Clients included Jazz at Lincoln Center, American Songbook Series, Orchestra of St. Luke's, and others. Evan has been diving for over 14 years and has been fortunate enough to dive on world class shipwrecks, caves and reefs across the world.

The Advanced Imaging and Visualization Lab at Woods Hole Oceanographic
has found Evan filming on the deep submersible ALVIN and the ROV Jason,
and elsewhere around the world. Currently he is working with the lab on
cameras and shooting techniques for live action 3D and 2D for
science and documentary films in standard and full dome theatres.
Evan has worked on over 30 episodes of ‘DSD’, starting as assistant cameraman
and underwater lighting assistant progressing to lead underwater cameraman.
His work with Lonewolf Documentary Group includes several Emmy nominated
History Channel specials including: Conquest of America, Desperate Crossing,
Titanic's Final Moments: Missing Pieces, Titanic’s Achilles Heel and
Titanic’s Sister Ship: Britannic.
